Mmmm. I was just wondering. You and Aunt Kya and Uncle Bumi didn’t say anything when my tattoos were done.

[She wonders if they’d just kept quiet to spare her feelings or because they’d been surprised themselves.]

[ He squeezes her hand gently, reaching to pull her closer with a soft smile. ]

I don't think any of us wanted to. It's still something we're learning to talk about. We all miss Dad, quite a lot.

You mean you didn’t talk about grandpa before?

[She knows that her aunt and uncle only recently started living with them, but…surely they’ve talked about Aang when they were younger?]
